Girls Basketball is back. Seniors leading the way this year are: Lori DeMint, Courtney Edelman, Sofia Cordero Nunez, Jacqueline Frey, Meggie Hall and Kayla Renyer. Along with coaches Alex McAfee, Nathan Bauman and Clayton Tennal, and Managers Amy Wysong, Caitlyn Renyer, Emily Baker, and Lindsay Frederick, they should have no problem leading SHS to another great season. Home games this month are on December 9th vs. Perry Lecompton at 4:30, as well as on December 16th, vs. Santa Fe Trail at 4:30. SHS Boys Basketball is starting up again. This year's senior leaders are: Kyle Stalbaumer, Benji Stoller, Tanner Matson, Dennis Enneking, and Troy Matson. Head Coach Scott Burger, along with assistants Roy Frey and Dannah Rose are back to lead the team. Home games this month are on December 9th vs. Perry Lecompton at 4:30, as well as on December 16th, vs. Santa Fe Trail at 4:30. On your mark, get set, starve. Wrestling is here again, with wrestlers striving to make weight. Leading this years team are seniors: Ben Koch, Chad Aberle, and Trevin Edelman. Last year Ben Meyer, Isaac Wenger, Trevin Edelman and Harvey Webster all made it to State. Ben Meyer, wrestling at 103, had an ending record of 10-10. Isaac Wenger, wrestling at 160, ended with a record of 7-1. Trevin Edelman, wrestling at 285, ended with the record 13-4. Senior, Harvey Webster, wrestling at 171, had an ending record of 17-5. Obviously after having four wrestlers make it to State, SHS had a great season. Head Coach Jason Brown and assistant Adam Pyle are back to lead the team.
